“How will we live together?” That is the question
And it will also be the main theme of the Biennale di Architettura di Venezia, starting on the 22nd of May
The 17th edition of the International Architecture Exhibition is set to open on the 22nd of May in the Giardini della Biennale and at the Arsenale of Venice and should last until the 21st of November. This year’s leitmotif: “How will we live together?”.
Amongst the biggest news: a series of videos and pictures that show the backstage of the installations, called the Sneak Peek project, the exhibition’s catalogue in a new interactive format, the collaboration with the Biennale Danza, the collective exhibits organized from various participants and new conferences and themed workshops. This 17th edition will also witness the renewal of the collaboration between the Biennale di Venezia and London’s Victoria Albert Museum in the Applied Arts’ Pavilion.
“Knowing how to use knowledge” will instead be the main theme of the Venice Pavilion’s exhibit, which will feature the architect Michele De Lucchi and his Education Stations.
One of the secondary rooms of the pavilion will host the exhibit “the economy of beauty” of the journalist, writer and tv host Emilio Casalini.
The 2021 Biennale di Architettura will also branch out to Forte Marghera, which will host the project dedicated to “How will we play together?”, a game created by five international architects and open to the citizens.
