Merchants and shops from Dante’s times

“Dante 700” is the name of the 2021 summer event dedicated to the Supreme Poet, born from the synergy between the via Dante Association, the local Trade Division and the Culture and Trade Department.

On the 24^th of July “Mercanti e Botteghe ai tempi di Dante” (Merchants and shops from Dante’s times) will take place in Piazza Manzoni and in the neighbouring streets of Via Dante: a reenactment of the different local shops and markets of medieval times by Ars mercatorum such as artisans, blacksmiths, tanners, weavers, potters, apothecaries and so on… The entertainment will be provided by Croce’s flag-throwers.
