How to beat the heat

What to do in case of humidity and high temperature:

  1. Drink lots of fluids (2 litres of water per day);
  2. Stay inside during the hottest hours (from 12.00 to 5.00 p.m.);
  3. Air out every room;
  4. Wear light clothes made of breathable, non-synthetic fabrics;
  5. Follow a balanced diet with lots of fruit and vegetables;
  6. Wear a hat and sunglasses;
  7. Avoid exercising during the hottest hours;
  8. Limit your alcohol and coffee intake;
  9. Don’t lie in the sun for too long, opt for frequent swims instead;
  10. Be consistent with any medicine you might be taking
